Why visit Italy?
Explore Italy from its most spectacular mountains: the Aosta Valley and the Mont Blanc massif, the birthplace of European alpinism and trail running.
Our program follows the Italian side of the Tour du Mont Blanc, a legendary traverse linking three countries — France, Italy, and Switzerland — running alongside Núria Picas, UTMB® champion.
For seven days, you’ll enjoy a unique trail running experience in the Alps, combining training, high-mountain landscapes, and life on the trail with an international group of runners.
You’ll run among glaciers, alpine meadows, and mountain huts with full logistical support included: luggage transfers, support vehicle, professional guide, and accommodation in selected refuges.
Italy is the heart of the Tour, where the landscape becomes steeper and the Alps reveal their most impressive face.
Run among glaciers and alpine valleys in the Italian Mont Blanc, where mountain and passion meet.

More information about Italy
Traveling to Italy to run the alpine section of the Tour du Mont Blanc is an unforgettable experience that combines sport, nature, and culture.
The Aosta Valley and the town of Courmayeur mark the passage of the TMB on its Italian side — a spectacular setting where the glaciers of Monte Bianco (4,808 m) blend with green meadows and ancient mountain villages.
The itinerary, guided by Núria Picas, follows some of the most iconic trails in the world of mountain running, with daily stages ranging from 20 to 35 km and elevation gains of over 1,500 meters.
Along the route, intense running days alternate with technical workshops, stretching sessions, and mountain training focused on improving technique, effort management, and safety in alpine terrain.
The itinerary includes half-board accommodation in mountain refuges, a support vehicle that transports the luggage, and a second guide/filmmaker who accompanies the group to document the experience. Each day you’ll share the trail with runners of different levels, always under the guidance and pace set by Núria Picas and her team.
On the Italian stage, from Les Chapieux to Courmayeur, the landscapes are truly overwhelming: ridgelines with views of Mont Blanc, high passes such as the Col de la Seigne (2,516 m), and long descents into the valleys of Aosta. Upon reaching Courmayeur, the alpine atmosphere and Italian cuisine provide the perfect finishing touch to the journey.
This program is not a competition, but a shared adventure with full logistical support and continuous coaching. It’s ideal both for experienced runners and for mountain lovers seeking a physical and emotional experience in a unique alpine environment.
The best time to do it is from June to September, when the high mountain passes are free of snow and the refuges are fully open.
Italy, with its blend of alpine history, hospitality, and breathtaking scenery, offers an experience that goes far beyond sport.
Run, learn, and live the spirit of Mont Blanc on its Italian side.
