More information about Switzerland
Traveling to Switzerland means stepping into the very soul of the Alps. The country blends the precision of its culture with the grandeur of its mountains, offering one of the most complete alpine experiences in the world.
The Chamonix–Zermatt Trek (Haute Route) is a legendary traverse between France and Switzerland, following the line of the great Alpine glaciers. Over seven days, hikers cross passes above 3,000 meters, sleep in panoramic mountain huts, and enjoy constant views of Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. It’s an experience that combines trekking, alpine technique, and dreamlike glacial landscapes.
For the more experienced mountaineers, the ascent of the Matterhorn (4,478 m) is one of the great objectives in world alpinism. The “perfect pyramid” is climbed with IFMGA-certified guides on a 1:1 ratio, following the historic Hörnli Ridge from Zermatt. A technical and aesthetic challenge, reserved for those aiming to reach the most iconic summit in the Alps.
And if you prefer to run across three countries, the Tour du Mont Blanc Trail Running with Núria Picas offers a unique seven-day adventure through France, Italy, and Switzerland, covering more than 160 km and 10,000 m of elevation gain. With full logistical support and guidance from a UTMB® champion, it’s the perfect way to combine training, nature, and personal challenge.
Moreover, the Swiss Alps offer a perfectly equipped network of mountain huts, efficient transportation between valleys, and a unique sense of hospitality. From the glaciers of Valais to the villages of Zermatt or Saas-Fee, each day reveals the essence of European mountaineering: effort, camaraderie, and natural beauty.
Whether you’re crossing glaciers, climbing summits, or running through the mountains, Switzerland offers an experience that goes far beyond sport — it’s a full immersion into the alpine world.
