The best month to discover Kamchatka in confort are the summer months.
June
In June, Kamchatka starts to thaw from winter. Snow remains in higher altitudes, but wildflowers bloom in the valleys. Temperatures range from 5°C to 15°C. It’s a great time for hiking with fewer crowds, though some areas may still be inaccessible.
July
July brings warmer weather, with temperatures between 10°C and 20°C. This is prime time for trekking and helicopter tours. Rivers swell with salmon, attracting brown bears, making it ideal for wildlife watching at Kuril Lake.
August
August is the warmest month, with temperatures from 10°C to 22°C. It’s perfect for outdoor activities like volcano climbing and rafting. Expect clear skies, but occasional rain showers are common, so packing layers is essential.
September
September signals the onset of autumn, with temperatures cooling to 5°C to 15°C. The fall colors start to paint the landscape, and wildlife remains active. It’s a quieter time to visit, but the weather becomes more unpredictable.

Single travelers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip.
