Full detailed tour
THE MOUNTAIN OF THE SPIRITS (8,163mts.)
Mount Manaslu in the Manisiri Himal Range is the eighth highest mountain in the world. Mount Manaslu has been given different names, such as “Kutang”, which means “Mountain of Spirits”, as its name is derived from the Sanskrit word “Manasa”, which means “intellect”.
We will not carry out a basic Manaslu program, without guarantees and acting only as simple intermediaries with the companies that have the logistics of the base camps, high altitude and material in the place.
Our Director, Jordi Tosas, a mountaineer with more than 30 years of experience in the Himalayas, together with our entire team of multidisciplinary experts, will create a tailor-made, personal plan based on your experience to reach Everest with the best guarantees of success.
The approach trekking to your base camp along the Budhi Gandaki river through picturesque villages rich in culture and traditions prepares us to acclimatize. Then traversing the dense forests, climbing and gaining altitude, we finally reach Manaslu base camp. Our stay in Sama Gaon will not only acclimatize us but also allow us to relax in a beautiful village of farmers and merchants. The visit to the Buddhist Monastery is an important highlight to receive the blessings of the monks.
Summiting Manaslu requires setting up 4 camps above the base camp. The climbing route ascends moderately angled snowy slopes in the lower parts, while the slopes start to get steeper above Camp 1. Until camp 4, the slope continues to increase. But our experienced Sherpas will fix the ropes through a series of ice bulges to lead to a flat col for the camp. From there, climbing a series of moderately snowy slopes and plateaus to a steep snowy ridge leads to Manaslu Grand Summit.
“OUR ENTIRE TEAM WILL CARRY OUT A TAILOR-MADE PLAN WITH ONE OBJECTIVE: TO REACH MANASLU WITH THE GREATEST SUMMIT OPTIONS”.
Physical and technical level requirement
This is a personal and private training and preparation plan for people who are clear about the challenge and costs involved in a project of such magnitude.
If you want to come with Ski or Split, then a Ski Touring a very good level of off-piste skiing and having previously done usually ski touring activity (randonnee / ski touring / backcountry skiing) is required.
Best climbing season for Manaslu
The best season for the Manaslu Expedition is the Autumn season, from mid-September to mid-January. During this time, the forests are lush and green, waterfalls are at their peak, and the ecosystem is vibrant. While expeditions can be organized at other times of the year, the primary concerns outside of this season are the cold and rain, along with the challenges they present. Autumn offers the most favorable conditions for a successful and enjoyable climb.
