A week of sailing on a sailboat exploring the best places and coves to practice psicobloc in Mallorca. Do not miss this combination CLIMBING and SAILING with a profesional Skipper.
We will meet at the Club Náutico de Palma where we will settle in the sailboat, we will have a safety talk and we will head east into the Bay of Palma towards the Colonia de Sant Jordi where we will sleep at anchor.
We will sail to Cala Santanyí where Es Pontàs is located, one of the great icons of the psicobloc. An improbable natural rock arch over the turquoise waters opened by Chris Sharma in 2006. Different climbing possibilities according to level.
We will go to Cala Mitjana, a very special place used by pirates in ancient times. From there we have different possibilities of routes such as the sectors of Cala Ferrera, Cala Mitjana or Sa Nau.
Cala Varques is a paradise of turquoise waters with a multitude of routes swimming from the sailboat. One of the most affordable sites for all levels with a multitude of possibilities. From the cove we can swim to the pirate’s cave, a place that will take your breath away. A set of natural cavities about 800 meters long.
We will enter Porto Colom, a very spectacular natural port. It has some climbing sectors right at the lighthouse at its entrance. Tonight in port will help us to go out for dinner at a restaurant in the area and have a few drinks in this beautiful town. Possibility of managing a dinner in a typical Majorcan farm.
We will start the way to the South again stopping at Cala Figuera, a sector with more than 40 routes to satisfy all levels. In the afternoon we will continue sailing until we reach the Cap Salines area.
We will sail back to Palma, if we have time we will still do some routes in the Porto Pi sector before saying goodbye.
This psicobloc trip with a sailboat is for people who want to enjoy or try this type of climbing in the place where it arose, Mallorca.
Known in English as Deep Water Soloing, it is a type of climbing that consists of climbing routes without a rope with a certain drop above the sea. One of the pioneers of the island in this sport was Miquel Riera who began to open routes in this modality in the 80’s. Years later, Chris Sharma met Miquel Riera, achieving the great feat of opening Es Pontàs in 2006.On this 7-day trip we will leave from Palma de Mallorca to head east, the area of the coves and which has the largest number of routes to enjoy this sport.
Es Pontàs, Cala Mitjana, Sa Nau, Cala Figuera will be some of the sectors that we can enjoy.
Counting on a spacious and comfortable sailboat with a professional skipper, we will be able to move around the entire area, spending most of the nights anchored in idyllic coves at the foot of the climbing sector for the next day.
All levels are welcome into this trip, if you are a profesional climber you will find routes for you but if you are a beginner or simply wish to make a private group more focus on sailing and relaxing with some psicobloc along the way this trip is also for you.
This program is based on a minimum of 6 persons with 1 Skipper; it is recommended to make your group of friends based on the same level and trip priorities. In case of smaller group or if you want to personalize the trip do not hesitate to contact us.
