Full detailed tour

TREKKING TRIP IN THE VOLCANOES OF ARMENIA. ENJOY THE NATURE AND HERITAGE OF THE CAUCASUS

We will climb Mount Aragats at 4,090m, the highest mountain in Armenia and walk through several of the most impressive natural points in the country.

Armenia is a former Soviet republic that lies between Europe and Asia and is considered the cradle of Christianity. A little-known country with much to offer, from great cultural heritage to landscapes, mountains and lakes of great natural wealth.

The inhabitants of this Caucasian country are very open people and want to teach their culture and traditions. It is an extremely safe country.

During this 9-day trip we will travel from its capital, Yerevan, to lakes, monasteries, volcanoes and mountains. Trying to reach the top of one of the Aragats peaks.

The Aragat consists of 4 peaks, the most popular being the South at 3,879m and the most technical the North at 4,090m. Depending on the level of the group we will try to make the two peaks.

We have a local mountain guide who speaks perfect English and will be the greatest host to make this trip a unique experience.

During the trip we will sleep in tents and camps that we will make with a private cook for the group. The days in the capital we will sleep in a 3-star hotel.

Physical and technical level requirement

You need a minimum level that allows you to do a mountain route of 1200m of elevation gain in one day. It is not a demanding route and days are interspersed with short walks to guarantee good acclimatization and good recovery from the days of trekking. During the route we can carry a small backpack with the things we will use during the day. The porters will transport our backpacks to the next lodge.

Our trainer Mr. Pablo Ral,  graduate in Physical Activity Sciences, Master in High Performance, Chilean Ski Mountaineering Coach and specialist in endurance sports... can make you a specific personal training plan for this trip.
