ITINERARY KATHMANDU TREK
Departure flight to Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon: we can visit the Swayambhu stupa (monkey temple), get lost in the streets of Thamel or have our first Dal bhat dinner (the most traditional dish of Nepali cuisine).
Pick up at the hotel early in the morning and transfer of the whole group to the great Stupa of Boudhanat. It is one of the holiest places in Buddhism and also highly revered by Hindus. It is the largest circular Stupa in Eurasia, and is filled with Buddhist schools and Tibetan refugees. Pilgrims must go around the stupa 3 times praying, we will do the same so that it brings us luck all the way ahead.
A bus will take us to Sundarijal (on the outskirts of Kathmandu) where our trek will begin. But if anyone feels like jogging we can run directly from Boudhanath to Sundarijal (we only have to add 8 km to our route today).
Immediately we enter the forest and begin the journey of almost 10km that will take us to the small village of Chisapani at 2,170m.
Trek 1 From Sundarijal to Chisapani (2,170m) (9.7km, +1,081m -289m; 4h) (Optional extension: Depart from Boudhanth +8km)
We continue our route through the Helambu area, getting further and further away from Kathmandu and gradually ascending to get a good acclimatization.
Today we will do the longest day of the entire route, there are 16km that we will go through calmly including a good stop to eat in one of the small villages that we will go through before reaching Kutumsang (2,456m).
Day 4: Trek 2 From Chisapani to Kutumsang (2,456m) (16.0km, +1,280m -987m; 7h)
Today we have a much calmer day of less than 7km to recover well from the effort of the previous day until we reach a small lodge located in Mangengoth at 3,390. For those who want more, in the afternoon we will go out to ascend a nearby peak of 3,470m, from where we can already see several peaks of almost 7,000m. The rest of the group will enjoy a yoga session during the sunset.
Day 5: Trek 3 Kutumsang to Mangengoth (3,390) (6.6km, +916m -149m; 4h) (Optional extension: 3,470m summit)
We leave Mangengoth and head for Thadepati 3,690m. Today we will also do a quiet and undemanding 6km route with little ascent. In the afternoon we will climb the whole group to a 3,840m mountain located behind our lodge that will help us in our acclimatization. If someone is encouraged, we can continue to another 4,490m mountain and together we will decide if we see the sunset from the top or from our lodge.
Day 6: Trek 4 Mangengoth to Thadepati (3,690m) (6.1Km, +496m -611m; 3h) (Optional extension: summit of 3,840m or 4,490m)
We have already left the Helambu region and entered the Himalayas. Today we are going to reach the last inhabited site on this side of Gosainkunda Pass. In less than 5 hours we have to reach Phedi 3,630m. Today it is not time to go running, today we have to rest and gather energy for tomorrow facing the highest point of the entire route.
Day 7: Trek 5 From Thadepati to Phedi (3,630m) (8.0Km, +712m -594m; 5h)
Today we will all cross together Lauribina Pass (4,610m), the highest point of the route, then a short descent awaits us that will take us to the sacred lakes of Gosaikunda.
If anyone is encouraged from the neck we can climb the nearest peak (5,040m) or Surya Peak (5,145m).
In Gosaikund, the god Shiva is worshiped and pilgrims from all over the world come to take a ritual bath in its frozen waters to purify themselves. We just have to enter the water and run back to our lodge (or watch how the others do it).
Day 8: Trek 6 Phedi to Gosaikund (4,419m) (6.5km, +915m – 262m; 5h) (Optional extension: 5.070m summit)
We start a path that is practically all down to the bottom of the Langtang valley. Today’s tour will take us along a comfortable ridge with impressive views of Langtang Lirung (7,200m) until we reach Chandambari. In about 4 hours or less we can reach this town and visit the Shing Gomba Buddhist monastery (3,330m).
Day 9: Trek 7 Gosaikund to Chandanbari (9.0km, +70 -1,176m; 4h)
Last day of trekking. Today it is a long descent to the bottom of the valley to reach Dunche. You have to be attentive to the forests in this area that are full of wild monkeys. We have already reached the last city before the border with Tibet and the end of our route.
Day 10: Trek 8 From Chandanbari to Dunche (1,950m)(11.6km + 100m – 1,750m; 5h)
A bus will pick us up first thing in the morning and we will start our way back to Kathmandu where we will arrive in 5 or 6 hours.
In the afternoon we can take the opportunity to visit the Tamhel or simply enjoy our last dinner in Nepal.
We can take advantage of the first hour of the morning to make the last purchases. Then they will pick us up at the hotel to take us to the airport. Flight home.

TOUR DETAILS KATHMANDU TREK
WALK THE PATHS OF THE MOST AUTHENTIC NEPAL
A route designed for you to discover all the charms of Nepal: its people, temples, rice fields, the jungle and especially the Himalayas. The idea is simple and tempting, leave Kathmandu after visiting the great Boudhanath Stupa, as all the pilgrims who set out on the routes to the Himalayas did, and after 8 days of trekking reach the Langtang valley on the border with Tibet. .
For the bravest (or those resistant to cold) it is planned to bathe in the Gosaikunda Lake (4,380m), home of the gods Shiva and Gauri and mystical place of pilgrimage.
“GET OFF THE MOST COMMERCIAL ROUTES AND DISCOVER THE AUTHENTIC NEPAL”
You need a minimum level that allows you to do a mountain route of 1200m of elevation gain in one day. It is not a demanding route and days are interspersed with short walks to guarantee good acclimatization and good recovery from the days of trekking. During the route we can carry a small backpack with the things we will use during the day. The porters will transport our backpacks to the next lodge.
For those who always want more, we have several extensions to do during the afternoons to ascend to peaks close to our lodges from 3,600 to 5,100m.
