ITINERARY EVEREST TREK
Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon: we can visit the Swayambhu stupa (monkey temple), get lost in the streets of Thamel or have our first Dal bhat dinner (the most traditional dish of Nepali cuisine).
Free day in Kathmandu. To carry out the processing of permits and to be able to carry out the last purchases for trekking.
You can take advantage of any of our extra services: Everest Morning flight or a day of cultural excursion through the Kathmandu Valley (these can be booked at the time of booking or later)
Early morning transfer to the airport of Ramechap (4h car) for the flight to Lukla. The flight to Lukla is a unique experience in itself. The aerodrome is on a slope and the difference between the two ends of the runway is only an exceptional 60 meters. Trekking to Phakding (2600 m) with stunning green scenery with the view of Kusum Kangraru. Aprox: 3h 7,5km +300/-500
We follow the Dudh Koshi, ascending through forests of Himalayan pine and cedar, to the celebrated village of Namche Bazaar (3440 m). Namche village is a historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan traders exchange salt, dried meat and textiles. As well as being a splendid destination for buying traditional handicrafts, Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu attracting Himalayan and lowland traders. You will spend two days in Namche to acclimatize, visit local markets and spend time with your team. On the trek we caught our first glimpses of Everest and neighboring peaks. Aprox: 5h, 10,6km +1250/-450
This day is specially designed for acclimatization. We will walk to Syangboche Airport (3700m) which is supposed to be the highest airport in the world, then continue up to Everest View Hotel for great panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Tawache etc. On the way back, we will visit the Sherpa Museum of Everest Culture and Photo Gallery.
The trail guides you to the historic village of Thamo, an easy walk through a picturesque valley. Thamo, a small Sherpa village, offers a glimpse into local life. After exploring, the trek continues to Thame, where you’ll stop for lunch. This village provides ample time to explore Sherpa culture, with a visit to a small hydroelectric power plant. Overnight at the lodge.Trek Namche Bazaar to Thame (3750 m). Aprox: 5h, 8,7km +650/-250
Today is dedicated to acclimatization, allowing you to explore the valley and prepare for the upcoming Renjo La pass. You can visit the local monastery or venture to Tashi Lapcha Tal, a 5-6 hour round trip requiring a packed lunch. Overnight at the lodge.
The trek continues with an easy walk to Marlung along the Bhote Koshi River. After a short break, the trail ascends through a dry valley to Lungden. The walk offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks. As Thame is the last Sherpa village, today you’ll experience the solitude of the mountains. Upon arrival, consider a short hike above the lodge to aid acclimatization. Lungden (4500 m). Aprox: 5h, 9km +650/-100
Begin with an uphill trek, followed by an easier walk, before tackling a challenging climb to the top of Renjo La Pass. From here, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, and the stunning Gokyo Lake. Descend to the Third Lake and settle into your lodge in Gokyo for the night. Aprox: 6h, 11,3km +1050/-640
Early morning, hike up Gokyo Ri for an unforgettable sunrise and panoramic views of Everest and the Himalayas. After soaking in the sights, return to Gokyo for breakfast, then trek down to Thaknak, passing the Second Lake and traversing the glacier. Overnight at the lodge. Aprox: 4h, 4km +100/-150 (optional Gokyo Ri)
Prepare for a challenging day crossing Cho-La Pass. Although the pass itself isn’t overly difficult, the steep climb and glacier traverse demand caution. After crossing, descend to Dzongla for the night, enjoying the stunning high-altitude scenery. Aprox: 6h, 8,7km +800/-650
After a hot breakfast, trek downhill and follow a relatively easy trail to Lobuche. The short trek is intentional to allow for acclimatization, as you gain elevation. After settling in, explore the nearby Everest Glacier. Aprox: 2h, 6,7k +250/-170
Trek towards Gorak Shep on a rocky trail, with views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, and Mt. Pumori. After reaching Gorak Shep, hike up to Kalapatthar, a prime viewpoint for Everest and surrounding peaks. Capture stunning photos before descending back to Gorak Shep for the night. Aprox: 2h 5km +330-100 (climb Kalapattar +3h, 4,8km +470/-470)
Descend back to Lobuche for a short trek, allowing for rest and preparation for the next pass. Take time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Aprox: 2h, 5km +100/-330
Start the day with a trek through the Khumbu Glacier, heading east. Cross the glacier and river, then ascend to Kongma La Pass, the highest pass of the trek. With no water sources on the route, carry plenty of water. The summit offers stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding peaks. Descend steeply to Chukung valley for the night. Aprox: 7h, 9,8km +720/-910
After breakfast, climb Chukkung Ri, a classic viewpoint offering vistas of Lhotse, Makalu, Island Peak, Amadablam, and the Himalayas. Return to Chukkung for lunch, then trek to Dingboche for the night. Aprox: 2h, 4,6km +20/-420 (opcional Chukkung Ri +3h 4,7km+660-660)
Enjoy a relatively easy day trekking downhill through the valley. The landscape changes as you pass through Sherpa villages. After Pangboche, descend to the river, cross the bridge, and ascend to Tengboche, home to the region’s oldest monastery. In the evening, visit the monastery for a Buddhist chanting ceremony. Aprox: 4h, 10,5km +320/-800
Begin with a descent to Phunkethanga, a small settlement with teahouses. Continue downhill through a forested path, cross the Dudh Koshi River, and ascend steeply to Sanasa, then on to Namche Bazaar. Finally, trek down to Monjo for the night. Overnight at the lodge. Aprox: 6h, 14,3km +690/-1700
The trek continues along the Dudh Kosi river to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla, where you will take your flight back to Kathmandu. Aprox: 5h, 12,8km +760/-750
